Seladora's Cartoons
La Puerta de Celador

The religious person believes god favors him, loves him, and wants him near at hand for all eternity. Isn't that astonishing? The religious fills his prayers with flattery and praise and then believes that god tingles with giddy anticipation, his attention hanging on every word. Then the religious begs for help, for success, for health, for victory and, although no prayer of his has ever been answered, he believes that god, working in some mysterious way (as explanation for the lack of answers), will look out for him, take care of him, grant his petition.

In this section the cartoons point out the ludicruous nature of religious belief, in hopes of insulating the reader from such a vile infection.
