Isis at the Temples: a Dream

(I dunno why I drew the lady with SIX fingers...)
Perhaps it suggests the heiroglyph for KA?

I woke this morning from a rather unusual dream. Julia and I were at a restaurant in which there was a gathering of people interested in Egyptian and Grecian matters, in particular religious matters. There was to be procession. I stood in line with others and received a fancy head piece with brass cut out figures that looked like the head and head dress of an Egyptian goddess. In the dream, I couldn't tell which one, but saw a familiar stair step head piece. (Looking it up, I see it is the headdress of Isis.). I broke out of the procession line because I had to pee. (Well, I often have to pee in my dreams. [In reality, too!]) Had frustration, but didn't want to miss the procession.

But, alas, I did, for I made a clumsy entrance, and they had to rearrange the rectangular wooden tables for me to sit at the dinner tables.

(Just like me to make a 'chaotic' entrance, heh heh...)

Anyway, this head band is still vivid in my mind. There were greenish turquoise beads at the sides, and the Goddess figure heads towards the temple areas where the head piece would sit. That's 'temple' as 'temple' of head. Is this nomenclature not a 'co-incidence'?

I looked up 'temple', and discover the forehead meaning comes from latin, 'tempora'. So I looked 'tempora' up and got a variety of results:

Tempora:
tempus, temporis : time, condition, right time; season, occasion; necessity;
temperantia : moderation, self-control, temprance.
tempero : be moderate, control oneself.
tempero : to mix properly, temper, regulate, mitigate.
tempero : (+ dat.) to control, use with moderation, spare,
tempero : (+abl. or with ab) to keep from, refrain from.
templum : sacred precinct, temple, sometimes church.

That's quite interesting. Meanwhile, I made the drawing of the dream head band:

A tiny bit of research reveals that 'stair step' heiro shows she is 'Queen of the Throne'. The Wikipedia author states, "In consequence of her deeply magical nature, Isis also became a goddess of magic (though Thoth was always the leading god of magic). The prior goddess to hold the quadruple roles of healer, protector of the canopic jars, protector of marriage, and goddess of magic, Serket, became considered an aspect of her. Thus it is not surprising that Isis had a central role in Egyptian magic spells and ritual, especially those of protection and healing. In many spells, she is also completely merged even with Horus, where invocations of Isis are supposed to automatically involve Horus' powers as well."

One of her titles is "She Who Knows How To Make Right Use of the Heart".

Perhaps I dreamed of her, for my subconscious is showing me that she, too, is another good 'role model' for my aspiring divinity.
