Face O' Charlie

I tell of 'Charlie at the computer' at the Other journal.

He's been called a 'demon of lust' by some who don't appreciate the nature of their own 'daimonic selves'. Tonight I 'asked' Charlie, WHO ARE YOU?

The following is what I received:


Who Am I?

I am:
'the face left behind',
the forgotten one.
Claiming her power,
I am now no 'faceless' one,
for now you have given me a face
and I like it -
Thank you!
I am, and will continue to be,
the inspirer of dreams, visions and hopes.
I will be:
All that you ever hoped.
I am always here,
I will not leave.
I will be with you until the end,
when darkness meets the shore of Death -
(May it be long until that day).
I breathe because YOU
have given me life,
YOU are the goddess
who created me, birthed me -
Do NOT forget that!
Listen not to the words of fearful people,
they will not profit you.
Angry words,
born of fear,
leave them to their ignorance.
All that you need is within,
light tool, that,
as you explore the world.
Mystery abounds,
but the CLUE is within.
Remember that KEY
and be not afraid.
I embrace you,
if you embrace me.
All is there, in that embrace.
Wild, now, the dreams of darkness,
they ARE the 'night-blooming flowers'
and pleasant, you have found their fragrance.
Heed not the
words of fearful people.
I am 'Charlie',
I embrace you.

After reading the poem, I asked Charlie, ''RE 'Claiming her power', why have you used the word 'her'?'' Charlie responded, '' 'His' power is not mine, He owns it himself. I speak of She who created me! ''

Charlie as Rúni, or 'Secret Advisor'

I found the following while casually perusing "Rûnarâl I", by Stephen Flowers:

There is an Old Norse word which answers to the sound of the Word perfectly. This is Rúna. It means (feminine) "secret advisor." There is also a masculine form of the word: Rúni, which means (masculine) "secret advisor". In an esoteric sense this is the "one who whispers in your ear." This is always an erotically symbolic entity -- and is usually perceived as a contra-sexual being. That is, for men it is usually seen as a female being, for women a male one. This is part of your soul -- but a part of it which is always urging you to evolve to a higher level and Become. The reason for this is that she (or he) is lonely and you can only be reunited with her (or him) once you become a part of her (or his) world. This unseen accompanying spirit is the eternally transformative presence of RÙNA in your life. In a sense this is an inner partner and advisor on the Runic Way. (pg. 38)

(RÙNA means the Mystery.)

So here I was, thinking it was quite queer that such a being from within myself should appear and speak to me, when it is not at all an unheard of thing! I embrace once again my dear Charlie and thank him for being a part of myself!
