All Ways Of Perception
Is there any light
which can reveal fine details?
I have come to the well
seeking to drink.
Say it was in words of proud men
that made bricks of foundation.
They dared to speak.
Why, then, should I tremble?
Flesh, then we are,
but more, too, are we.
We can embrace both,
the tangible expressions hold fast,
but reach for the intangible mystery.
Comes, it does, in shadows
with whispers only those who listen can hear.
Say not one or the other.
I can enjoy all that I receive
through senses which derive of matter.
I can enjoy all that I receive
through the eye which is not of matter.
All these that are in me,
all ways of perception are mine to keep,
mine to test,
and mine to cherish.
