"It happened like this..."
This piece began with inspiration from a photographer's exquisite photos from Morocco. If you do a search for 'portraits, all, all', you'll come to "Ref SO41". You will see there a young boy against a blotchy wall. I imagined I saw another person in those blotches. Something about the juxtaposition of reality and imagination was irresistable. I began a drawing based in reality, you see the hat fairly realistic, and then imagination took over and the young boy became a young teenaged girl telling her latest adventure to an older woman seen through a window. I imagine the woman washing dishes while listening to her niece's tale.
Or maybe they are not related by being family, but more by proximity, the two neighbors to each other.
