"Let them fly with utter confidence to the most sweet Mother of mercy and grace in all dangers, difficulties, needs, doubts and fears. Under her guidance, under her patronage, under her kindness and protection, nothing is to be feared; nothing is hopeless. Because, while bearing toward us a truly motherly affection and having in her care the work of our salvation, she is solicitous about the whole human race." Thus said Pius IX in his Ineffabilis Deus in December of 1854. Thus, Mary is celebrated around the world as the Divine Feminine by millions of people, many of them Catholics. She is a living and unbroken link to the past. There has always been the persistence of the memory of the Mother. However brutally Her devotion has been suppressed over the centuries by those craving power over all others, She just keeps coming back, patiently as flowing water, grinding canyons and grottoes in the most stubborn of jagged rocks, smoothing away 'the cutting edge', cloaking in verdant leaf and fragrant flower all that has been made barren and lifeless. She reclaims and restores, and can heal even the hate-driven deranged mind ultimately, because that healing and restoration are the genuine gifts of Salvation sought even by those who don't understand the very thing they seek. The Goddess makes herself known to the faithful who will hear her.
