Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off
from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations. But of
the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee
for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and
the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites,
and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee: That
they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they
have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your
God.
"Oh, but the Gallae who worshipped Cybele and Attis are
horrible creatures. Do they not sacrifice the blood from the
testicles of
a bull at their celebrations? Do they not blood themselves , even
castrate
themselves, and offer it as a sacrifice to the Magna Mater?"
is the cry of
Jew and Christian against the ancient pagan religions. Let us
examine an
example of the sacrifices in Judaism of that time period, and
also castration, immediately following, as reccomended to
Christians by their Lord.
II Chronicles 29:20+
Then Hezekiah the king rose early, and gathered the rulers
of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD. And they
brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and
seven he goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, and for the
sanctuary, and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons
of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD. So they killed
the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled
it on the altar: likewise, when they had killed the rams, they
sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs,
and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar. And they brought
forth the he goats for the sin offering before the king and the
congregation; and they laid their hands upon them: And the
priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their
blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for
the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering
should be made for all Israel. And he set the Levites in the
house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps,
according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's
seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the
LORD by his prophets.
Origen and other early Christians castrated themselves to
follow this edict which some researchers believe was created in
imitation, without comprehension, of the rites of the Gallae. The
Gallae projected an immense image resulting in superstitious awe.
Since much of the Christ myth is a direct steal from the myth of
Attis, it is liklely that castration for the kingdom of heaven's
sake was an attempt to acquire some of that superstitious awe for
their own priesthood.
Matthew 19:12
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their
mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made
eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves
eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to
receive it, let him receive it.
Here the Bible condemns and sentences to death the
prophets of other religions. No
allowance is made for these prophets even if they display wonders
and miracles.
Deuteronomy 13:1 +
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams,
and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder
come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after
other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that
dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know
whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear
him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall
serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that
dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken
to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of
the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage,
to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded
thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst
of thee.
In the next verses of this chapter the Bible calls for a
father to execute his daughter,
wife, son, or even a friend if they attempt to convince him to
join another religion.
Deuteronomy 13:6 +
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy
daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as
thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve
other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh
unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth
even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent
unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him,
neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But
thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to
put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he
hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which
brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage.
A command to put to death the inhabitants of cities where
other deities are worshipped. Promises of reward for obedience
and punishment for failure to obey.
Deuteronomy 13:13 +
Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among
you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying,
Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known; Then
shalt thou inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and,
behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such
abomination is wrought among you; Thou shalt surely smite the
inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying
it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with
the edge of the sword. And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it
into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire
the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy
God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built
again. And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to
thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his
anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and
multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers; When thou
shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his
commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is
right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
One people after another murderd by Joshua. Men, women,
and children, no one left
alive.
Joshua 10:28 +
And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the
edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed,
them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain:
and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of
Jericho. Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with
him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah: And the LORD
delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel;
and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls
that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the
king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho. And Joshua
passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and
encamped against it, and fought against it: And the LORD
delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the
second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the
souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to
Libnah. Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and
Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none
remaining. And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon, and all
Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against
it: And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of
the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly
destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto
Hebron; and they fought against it: And they took it, and smote
it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the
cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none
remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but
destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein. And
Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir; and fought
against it: And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the
cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword,
and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left
none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and
to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her
king. So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the
south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings:
he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed,
as the LORD God of Israel commanded. And Joshua smote them from
Kadesh-barnea even unto Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even
unto Gibeon. And all these kings and their land did Joshua take
at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.
And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to
Gilgal.

The destruction of
other people, men, women, and
children, for their religious differences
began with the Jews and was held praiseworthy by the Messianic
Jews who began
Christianity. It is still considered praiseworthy by Christians
today and no apology for the
slaughter has ever been offered.
