The above picture is of the tarot reading Laura did last night. Now, mind you, Laura doesn't believe in all this stuff. She's a die hard skeptic. But, still, she admits some mysterious things happen through those cards. Nearly all the cards spoke of joining together, and triumph over adversity. And what could be more appropriate for the night of celebrating family? Laura, Julia, Serena and I had been planning this for some time. It was a real ceremony, with an oath, and all. We had flowers, and streamers and were dressed to the nines. Oh, it was hot, as we turned the cooler down so it wouldn't pull at the candle flames.

But candles do add to the mystical mood. We also played KALI MA: Dances of Transformation by Desert Wind, which further added to the mood. It's long been a favorite for when we want to get in touch with our mysterious roots.

And after the meaningful words were spoken to each other, we had a kiss fest!

This morning before we took her home to her kitties, in the bright sunlight, Serena showed her new ring off for the camera.
