''Pleased''

The installation of the generator replacement machine went very fast, and in a few hours, it merely looked like another building was on the farm. A covered canopy led to that building, as well. Alexander, who had travelled with them to complete the installation, was impressed with the farm's layout. His praise pleased Michael greatly, as it had indeed been his conception brought forth.

Goldie and Sonya each felt currents of electric excitement running through them. Sonya was thrilled she would be having something interesting and important to do. Any regret she'd had at being made a bloodsucker was behind her, in the privilege of having worlds opened to her of which mortals knew nothing.

Goldie glowed with the honor of their tasks, rescuing other bloodsuckers and making them well again. She was certain they'd travel to interesting places and meet interesting people. She was glad her sensitivity would be put to good use, and was re-assured there were real reasons for the odd feelings she often experienced. She reminded herself she'd had such premonitions before the evil Sardok had showed his face to them.

Remembering that adventure, she smiled at how brave Sebastian had been. Having an important role to play herself, she now knew the thrill of it, and went to seek him out to tell him the news. ''I shall tell all of them, Gwen and Livia will want to know everything as well.'' She found they knew something was up, for they'd watched the installation from a distance, while they went about doing farm chores.

Everyone found their inner workings fascinating, for it was something each of them had wondered about. Sebastian was the most mystified. Not ever given to scientific study, it had to be explained to him a few times. Golden was able to finally make him understand.

As she reiterated the process, she noted his shiny gold pendant, ''That necklace of yours! That's where I've seen the blood bit shape before!'' Seb looked down at it. It was a circle with two horns. ''I was told by one of my lovers it is the astrological symbol of Taurus. That I am an Aquarius did not stop me from wearing it. I was just drawn to its peculiar shape. I thought it was because of its horns, as the horns could relate to the modern expression 'horny', meaning in the mood for intimacy. But apparently, there is another reason it attracted me.

So the two extensions aren't horns but feelers, ARMS which aid them in the cellular repair work, then?'' Seb was quite impressed, and pleased to be the universe for such a large population. He strutted this way and that, feeling special.
