Smiling at the Past, Smiling at the Future, Claiming the Present
August 31, 2005

This is an 'automatic' drawing and 'automatic' writing, done to seek closure to this years work on my Book of Life. While drawing and listening to magical and ancient, but timeless music of Terra Hyperborea, a wolf had a solo in the current piece, and the hand moved then to automatic writing, which was partially cropped out of the picture. The text off to the side reads as follows:

I know I was here before,
heard that wolf before,
the eternal wolf,
the eternal me...

I was tapping into the ancient currents, indeed. If I didn't hear the wolf, certainly my ancestors near the Baltic Sea did. It's in the blood.

At the end of another mental journey through my past, I could then be 'smiling at the past, smiling at the future, claiming the present':

Rum, rum, rum,
goes the drum, drum, drum...
deep into the secrets of the earth and my mind...

Adoring the god/dess that I am becoming,
liking the face in the mirror,
smiling at the past,
smiling at the future,
claiming the present with a large hand of good grip.

Breathing the moment,
am I inhabiting this moment?
Look, it has such large walls...
and I have such long arms...
reach and stretch...
and push those walls farther,
breathing the moment...

Ever, always, my perspective is from the present, whether I look to the past, or to the future. I hold this moment, this NOW, and it is only here that I can experience my state of being.
